January 5, 2020 God’s Will be Done on Earth
/in 2020 Lord's Day /by Youhyun Chang[Matthew 6:9-10]
God’s Word
is perfect.
He
sent His Word to the world. He is the glory of the Only Begotten Son.
Only Jesus is full of grace and truth (Jn 1:14).
God’s Word is perfect.
Since He reaps what He sows, He is righteous (Jn 15:1-2).
God’s Word came down to the earth from heaven.
According to God’s will, He died and rose again.
He went up to heaven and sat at God’s right hand.
He sanctified God’s name and dwells there.
This is how He fulfilled God’s will in heaven (Acts 2:31-36).
The earnest wish of Jesus
is to fulfill God’s will on earth as it was fulfilled in heaven (Mt 16:15-19).
The Word became flesh and fulfilled this will.
To fulfill this will on earth like it was fulfilled in heaven,
He sent the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:7-14).
So His word will not fall to the floor but be fulfilled,
the Holy Spirit makes us know, remember and understand it (Jn 14:26).
Jesus is the Word who became flesh and fulfilled God’s will.
In the same way, the Holy Spirit sets up the Church on earth by God’s Word.
○ The evil doers who hung on the cross had their legs broken.
But Jesus’ legs were not broken.
God’s Word does not get distorted (Jn 19:31-33).
○ The countless languages on the earth have no life.
They are not God’s Word.
Only the Word who rose again and ascended is the truth.
○ God’s Word is perfect and receives glory.
Man’s language on the earth has been trodden on.
Distinguish God’s perfect Word from worldly language.
※ These are Baptists:
Those who perfectly fulfill God’s Word
and fulfill the Church by this Word.

They say there are about 80,000 pastors in ministry in South Korea today. They made great efforts to become pastors. Most of them went to Sunday School since they were young. They frequently practiced godliness and trained themselves to abstain from filthy habits like smoking and drinking. If they wanted to become pastors, though it is difficult, they met no harsh opposition. They would graduate from a university and attend seminary. At seminary, they would devote themselves to prayer and learn a lot about morals and ethics. Most believe they received the grace of Jesus as they became pastors. But there is a difference between a pastor and a shepherd. A pastor has qualifications but a shepherd has spiritual power. Qualifications are external whilst power is internal. Qualifications are rational whilst power is spiritual. Qualifications are gained from the world whilst power comes from heaven as a great gift. How wonderful would it be if people had both? One person appears to have spiritual power but falls short of qualifications as pastor. The other possesses qualifications as pastor but lacks spiritual power. It is as if there is a driver but no car brake, or there is a car but no driver. In this parable, there is a car but it does not have the conditions to move. People confuse a pastor with a shepherd. They think they are the same servants of the Lord, so it is disappointing. There are truly many pastors. But shepherds are truly few. Though you may be a pastor, you absolutely need to communicate with God and need to know ‘The Picture of God’s Will’. Though servants in a large house do not know the Master’s will, they can faithfully do their tasks. But a manager understands the Master’s will and obeys to fulfill that will. He actively bears God’s calling. For more than half a century, Semuon has gone through various training – as evangelist, founder of a church, and pastor. To fulfill God’s will, I did the best in everything I did and gave my life for it. I walked my path, going past the double-edged sword of misunderstanding and jealousy. This is because I lived as pastor, though not perfect, doing the best I could do. I saved every moment of time, holding a talent as a shepherd based upon the ‘The Picture of God’s Will’. Look! Consider how many pastors there were under Semuon who did their work wonderfully? They did their work as pastors, but were not shepherds. How many of them did ministry like a shepherd after they left Semuon? They probably do not know why and are frustrated. But God knows the reason. He distinguishes a pastor and a shepherd. I am both a pastor and shepherd. You can say I am a manager. The person who receives 5 talents and produces 10 minas is a shepherd. Sungrak people must be able to distinguish between a pastor and a shepherd. A person becomes a pastor voluntarily but a shepherd is a worker chosen by God. Semuon, 5th January 2020
