February 2, 2020 Drive Out Demons
/in 2020 Lord's Day /by Youhyun Chang[Matthew 12:43-45]
God
is eternal life.
He
sent the Word to save us (Jn 1:14).
He is Jesus Christ (Mat 1:23-25).
When Jesus did His work in the world,
demons recognized Him and trembled (Js 2:19)
They said, “I know who You are.
You are the Son of God!” and trembled (Mk 3:11, 1:23-24).
Wherever Jesus went, demons fled (Mk 1:32-34).
Jesus gave His disciples authority to drive out demons (Mk 3:13-15).
When preaching the gospel, He told them absolutely not to prepare two pieces of clothing,
but to heal the sick and drive out demons (Mt 10:8-10).
He said, “These signs will follow those who believe” (Mk 16:17-18).
These show He is living and confirms He works with them (Mk 16:20).
If the Holy Spirit enters us and drives out demons,
the Kingdom of God dwells in us (Mt 12:28).
Like each country has a king,
if the Holy Spirit becomes our King, the Kingdom has come upon us.
The authority of saints do not make demons tremble.
The truth has authority. It works inside saints and drives out demons (Mk 1:27).
○ Though driving out demons is not our faith,
faith has power to drive out demons
and the Lord Jesus works with us.
○ Demons come out of people and come back in.
After demons come out, you must pray more earnestly.
You must pray to the point demons are afraid.
○ Religion cannot drive out demons.
The Christian Church drives out demons
and heals sicknesses.
※ Even demons recognize those who enter God’s Bosom.
Demons are not terrifying beings to believers.
They are enemies who should indeed be driven out in the name of Jesus.

Sungrak Church is an Independent Baptist church. When I started this church, I made a decision before God to keep away from humanistic churches oppressed by religious authority and corrupt religion, despite feeling lonely and alienated. God send Jesus Christ to fulfill His will on earth as it was done in heaven. Jesus is Head of the Church and the Church is His body. Therefore, life of the church comes by God’s revelation, Jesus Christ entrusted the church to the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit appointed overseers to shepherd His church. He pours out His inspiration, power and authority. The overseer feeds the church with much prayer, perfect faith and God’s Calling. As Jesus is the Head of the Church, He is the Chief Shepherd. The overseer shepherds His flock as an expert shepherd until the Chief Shepherd comes. Without the shepherd, the flock will scatter. This is the Lord’s warning. In an Independent church, each church is the Body of Jesus Christ. The Baptist church has no constitution or binding law. It has only the Bible as model of faith and church management. The Office Administration in the church wants a church assembly. It is right to hold one each year. To work together for big events, we can sometimes have temporary administrative assemblies. The Overseer is the Chair of the Office Administration. He is entrusted with conventions and proceeds, and guides assemblies for the good of the church. The Subcommittee is not the Office Administration. They are a selected committee within the Office Administration. The Overseer has ministerial beliefs and inspiration to deal with important matters in the church. The Office Administration makes protectoral proceedings to objectively preserve this conviction and inspiration. The Overseer is supported by the Office Administration to effectively and bravely undertake big tasks. The Office Administration is not a device to keep the Overseer in check. It is an association of faith which offers absolute support. We have persevered, endured and shed blood to keep this for 50 years. However, some foxtails have grown to bring confusion and great pain to the church. But I set up this church of Jesus Christ. For this Independent Baptist church to stand tall as model for the world, the whole church should realize this together, and work with all their heart, will, mind and strength to recover the Overseer’s ministry and authority. Grieving the shepherd greatly harms everybody’s spirits. This must never happen (Heb 13:17). Some people in our church should not join together and act wickedly to think they manage the church themselves. God is our Father. He is ‘Impartial Justice’. Those who defy God’s will are unjust. Everyone should be humble. We cannot tolerate any wickedness which rejects the tradition of the Independent church. We cannot permit any cause for injustice and compromise. We must focus on the Overseer to live spiritually. Semuon, 2nd February 2020
