Until the Lord comes back
(Mark 14:53-65)
“The believer does not receive any judgment, so whatever I do with my body does not matter.” This thought that comes from the misunderstanding of the word that “whoever believes in Him is not condemned” is extremely dangerous. This is because awe must all stand before the judgment seat of the Lord who will repay each person according to what they have done.
1. Do not be Judged as a Sinner
On that day, we must be judged as righteous ones, not sinners. We should not be judged as those who oppose the Lord, betray His grace, and are unknown to Him. Even after receiving the grace of forgiveness, if we continue to reveal the nature of sinners and deliberately commit evil deeds, this will be evidence that we regard the grace of redemption as trivial. As a result, we will be judged as sinners on the last day.
2. Protect your Heart and Willingness
Of course, we do not have the ability to avoid committing sins. Even though we have received forgiveness through Jesus’ merits on the cross, our hearts are still vulnerable to greed, which can lead us to commit evil deeds at any time. However, unlike in our past, when we were unrelated to the Lord’s grace, our focus is now on Him. Therefore, even if we unintentionally commit sins, we can receive forgiveness through repentance and continue our committed lives to the Lord’s ministry by turning our hearts back to Him, even if our focus is scattered from worldly distractions. The Lord will see our hearts and willingness and acknowledge us as righteous ones.
3. Pray Three Things
The Lord desires to guide us throughout our entire lives so that we can be judged as righteous ones before the last judgment seat. Therefore, let us make a firm determination not to commit sins and live committed lives for the Lord’s work. Let us pray every day as the Lord has taught us: “Forgive us our debts! Lead us not into temptation! Deliver us from the evil one!” Let us receive the Lord’s guidance every day for His kingdom, authority, and glory. He will guide us into His eternal kingdom with a powerful responsibility.
