Do You not Yet Understand?

(Mark 8:14-21)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is the Creator.
He
gives life to the dead (Jn 11:42-44)
and calls those things which do not exist as though they did (Jn 21:5-6).
We believe the One who calls those things which do not exit as though they did (Mk 9:23).
Jesus performed signs in front of His disciples.
He fed the five thousand with five loaves (Mk 6:44)
and fed the four thousand with seven loaves, and He gathered
the remains in twelve baskets and seven baskets each (Mk 8:8-9).
Since this can be done only by God (Gen 1:1)
– if Jesus did this and you saw it –
why do you not understand that Jesus is God? (Jn 14:11)
He said, “Why are you talking about having no bread?”
Jesus received this authority from the Father (Mt 28:18-20),
and believers received such authority from the Lord (Mk 10:11).
If we accept Jesus into our hearts, this is faith
and we receive the right to become God’s children (Jn 1:12).
If we have the right of God’s children and accept His name,
we should not worry that there is no bread.
Faith is having ‘the inspiration of the five loaves and two fish’ (Mk 16:17-20).
○ Why are you unable to understand and are worried?
If you say that you believe, but do not accept Him into your heart
and doubt and become religious, you will not have anything.
○ Is it that hard to accept the Lord into your heart?
Believers are united with the Lord
and can do the work of God.
○ Since you cannot understand – though you saw what only God can do –
and you think that you have no rights whatsoever,
you make yourself an alienated and lonely believer.
※ Herod and the pharisees were hypocrites.
They had their own righteousness which was separate from God.
The Lord tells believers to be careful about this yeast.
