Faith Has a Testimony

(John 2:23-25)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is living.
When He
gave His word to the world, He gave faith (Heb 11:1-3).
Faith does not refer to people’s convictions. It is a sure testimony (2 Cor 13:5).
Jesus’ name spread due to the signs He performed
and many people knew about this name ‘Jesus’ (Mk 1:28).
But concerning
faith leading to salvation,
you cannot save yourself through rumors.
Only those who believe and accept His name are saved (Jn 1:12).
Receiving Jesus as your Master
is a testimony to your faith (Jn 6:68).
Nonetheless,
Jesus could not entrust Himself to anyone
because He knew they had no faith to receive Him (Heb 11:6).
When those without faith call out, “Lord, Lord” (Mt 6:5),
it is like the incantations of superstitious people.
This cannot please the Lord.
You should only bow before Jesus’ name and submit to Him (Phi 2:10-11).
People who do this have a testimony,
for God puts the Holy Spirit in their hearts
as a seal and guarantee (2 Cor 1:20-22).
○ The Holy Spirit
testifies that we are God’s children.
○ The testimony that God seeks is our confession of faith.
He does not accept testimony from those who do not confess their faith.
○ Do not learn about Jesus’ name by hearing rumors,
but completely open your hearts and accept His name.
Examine and confirm whether the Lord dwells in your heart.
※ When God gave His word to the world,
it was so people could obey it and confirm their faith.
You should testify that Christ is your Master.
