Jesus and Demons
(Mark 5:1-20)
Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim
God
is the Creator of all kinds of spirits.
He
created ministering angels in heaven (the spiritual world)
and created every kind of animal and man on earth.
Man was made in His Image, according to His likeness (Gen 1:26-27),
and only one spirit of man was created in heaven (the spiritual world) (Mal 2:15).
Therefore,
He chose one man called ‘Adam’ and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life, and the man became a living being (Gen 2:7).
Among creatures on earth, there is only one living being,
so man is a living being with both dust and spirit (Ps 42:1-3).
Corrupt living beings become demons (Mt 12:43-45)
and holy living beings enter eternal life (Lk 23:43).
It is so clear that (Jn 5:25-29)
the identity of demons was revealed when Jesus appeared to the world,
they were afraid and driven out,
and those who were sick because of demons were saved (Lk 8:32-36).
The Holy Spirit’s work is to control demons (Mt 12:28).
If demons are driven out from people’s bodies, they fear being thrown
into the abyss (hell) and tremble greatly (Lk 8:30-31, Mt 8:29).
○ Therefore, they asked Him to send them into pigs,
He gave them permission, and two thousand pigs were instantly
drowned in the sea. This is the personality of demons.
○ Scientific civilization does not explain that demons do not exist.
Science cannot discover them (1 Cor 2:14-15).
It is the same as saying science cannot see heaven (the spiritual world).
○ Since Jesus’ word and His name are almighty,
they are God’s light. There is nothing hidden before Him (Jn 1:4-5).
Demons are the cause of all epidemics and diseases.
※ Our faith is a higher knowledge than science
and accepts the Creator’s authority into the spirit (Acts 10:38).
Jesus said, “those who believe will drive out demons” (Mk 16:17-20).
