Do Not Be Ashamed of Jesus

(Matthew 26: 69-75)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is glory.
He
so loved the world and sent His only begotten Son.
He is the Word (Jn 1:14).
When God sent the Word into the world,
the world was less glorious than Him (Jn 1:10-11).
It is hades, where it is dark and without God’s glory (Jn 1:5).
It is where the cursed devil is confined (Jd 1:6),
it is where the lake of fire is (where the shameful will be punished),
and its earth is full of unrighteousness (Jn 3:19-21).
God’s Holy One appeared
here (Jn 3:16-17)
to send heaven’s glory, that is, the light of life.
Therefore,
the Son came to destroy the devil’s work (1 Jn 3:8).
Who are you ashamed of? The world (which is under heaven)? (1 Cor 1:18)
Or the glory of the only begotten Son?
So Jesus became the Judge (Mt 10:32-33).
Do not be ashamed of the Word – who works by the Holy Spirit (Mk 1:12).
〇 They called Jesus a Galilean to shame Him.
They regarded Galilee as a lowly place with many people of mixed race.
Jesus is Christ, not a Galilean.
〇 They called Jesus a carpenter and a Nazarene.
Nazareth was a town of the ignorant and the poor.
Jesus is the all-wise and all-powerful Word.
〇 They cursed Jesus and treated Him like a medium.
The Jews regarded mediums as most vulgar.
Jesus is the truth and the source of knowledge.
※ Are you ashamed of the One who came from heaven?
Are you ashamed of being poor and ignorant?
Are you ashamed of Sungrak Church, which is persecuted?
