Confess Your Faith

John 12:37-43

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is a holy spirit.
In
order to show God (who mankind cannot see) (Jn 1:18),
He became lower than the angels in heaven
and appeared to the world as man. He was born (Jn 1:49-50)
in the home of a humble carpenter
and raised in the obscure town of Nazareth (Jn 1:46).
He became acquainted with people’s weaknesses and griefs (Isa 53:1-3).
He was whipped, experienced the curse of the cross,
and disregarded all shame (1 Pet 2:24).
Consequently,
He poured His blood and tore His flesh.
This is the grace given to us (1 Cor 11:23-26).
He came as the light of heaven, but the world lost their spiritual vision
and could not see Him (Jn 8:42-44).
He did His best to serve people by God’s power (Mk 1:38-39).
But if we do not openly show the grace we accepted
and just conceal it within us,
despite accepting this great grace,
this is disobedience, for we do not want to glorify God (Jn 12:42-43).
○ Worried about persecution for showing what you believe?
Worried about guilt for saying that you accepted grace?
Worried about death for talking about being saved?
○ God came from on high to the lowest earth.
So why are we unable to witness before all people?
This fulfills the prophecy God spoke regarding those who turn away.
○ If we are baptized in Jesus’ name, we are one with Him.
If the Lord dies, we die with Him, and if He lives, we live with Him.
This is the faith to gain salvation and eternal life.
※ Let’s not be ashamed of Jesus.
Let’s not be afraid to die for Jesus,
but testify to Him who lives in us. Let’s show it and testify!
