Follow God’s Will

(Matthew 16:21-28)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is the Father.
He
sent His Son to the world (Jn 3:16).
The Son came only according to the Father’s will
and fulfilled it all – just as the Father commanded (Jn 10:17-18).
Heaven is full of glory and honor (Jn 1:14)
and filled with God’s blessing.
The One who left heaven and came down to hades (the universe) (Heb 2:9)
experienced all abuse, poverty, misunderstanding and misfortune.
Who would envy His life? (Isa 53:1-4)
The world is within the universe (called hades) and has only misfortune.
It has only suffering, curse, death and the lake of fire (Col 1:13).
Jesus came here.
He was born a Jew, but was not a Jew
nor a descendant of Abraham (Jn 5:58).
He was lonely, alienated and all by Himself (Jn 8:29).
He finally received the command to die on the cross
and surely needed to fulfill it (Mt 16:21).
A disciple tried to stop Him and said, “Do not do this!”
This disciple instantly became Satan (God’s enemy),
and Jesus said, “I don’t want to see you, so get behind Me!”
and rebuked him.
〇 The person who does not think of God’s work is Satan.
The person who first thinks of man’s work is Satan.
〇 If anyone wants to follow the Lord, he must follow His will.
The person who comforts and pities the Lord is Satan.
〇 If you want to follow the Lord, you must deny yourself
and receive the command to die on your cross.
If people do not act according to God’s will (whether parent or child),
they all become God’s enemies (Mt 10:34-36).
※ Let’s all follow the Lord and follow His will!
Let’s follow the Lord’s command with all our lives!
