Jesus and the Father Are One

(John 10:22-39)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
accepts glory.
He
accepts glory through the Son.
Those who claim to be God by their own lips
seek their own glory (Ps 29:1-2).
The One who said that He was sent by God and did God’s work
did not seek His own glory but showed the glory of the Father,
who sent Him (Jn 7:16-17).
‘Jehovah’ said he was self-existent and sought his own glory,
but Jesus was sent by the Father. He said He did the Father’s work
and gave glory to the Father.
Therefore,
Jesus said,
‘I and the Father are one’ (Jn 10:30).
He said that He is God’s Son and is one with God.
He came to send the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:7-8),
and the Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus (Jn 15:26).
Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one (Jn 16:13-14).
Jesus said, “And I will ask the Father and send you
the Holy Spirit” (Jn 14:16).
The Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit are one.
○ Our faith is believing the Trinity is one.
This is not a man-made doctrine, but is written in the Bible.
○ Jesus showed the work of God the Father
by His teachings and signs
and He emphasized that these were the Father’s work.
○ We believe the testimony of the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit to be one and we are witnesses to it.
We should be clear about what our preaching means.
※ Obeying God in the fullness of the Spirit
is believing in Jesus.
This is glorifying God and this is faith.
