The Power of the Cross

(1 Corinthians 1:18-25)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is true.
His
love for the world is true (Jn 17:3).
Therefore,
God’s Son is true,
God’s word is true,
and God’s wisdom is true (Jn 8:45).
As God’s truthfulness hangs together with the world’s unrighteousness,
you must judge and choose (Mt 9:13).
What is the cross? (1 Cor 1:18)
Isn’t it a punishing rack to curse the cursed? (Gal 3:13)
Who is it hanging on the cross? (Mt 16:21)
Is it Christ, the Son of God? (Mt 16:23)
Or is it man hanging on the cross?
If man hangs, He is cursed.
If the Son of God hangs, it is the Righteous One’s death (Mt 27:54).
By man’s wisdom, a sinner hangs,
but by God’s wisdom, a cursed sinner rests on it (Lk 23:39-43).
If man hangs, you will perish.
If God’s Son hangs, your faith lives.
〇 Therefore, if man look at the cross by faith, he is saved.
If he looks by man’s wisdom, he perishes.
If a sinner rests on and unites with Christ, he lives.
〇 By man’s wisdom, He who hangs on the tree is cursed.
By God’s wisdom, He rests on the tree of curse.
Those who rest on and unite with Jesus are saved.
〇 God’s wisdom and man’s wisdom are different.
If one follows God’s wisdom, it is faith.
If one follows man’s wisdom, he perishes.
※ The Jews’ miracles and the Greeks’ wisdom are useless.
God’s wisdom becomes faith and power.
Let’s look at the way of the cross with inspiration!
