May 20, 2018 Choose Blessings and Life (Deuteronomy 30:15-20)

Sermon Outline

God
is the Lord of blessings and life.
He
prepared to give man blessings and life.
Commands are blessings and life (Gen 2:17).
To receive God’s commands, you need faith.
To have faith, you need to become a living spirit.
Therefore,
man became a living spirit (1 Cor 15:45).
Since man became a living spirit, he is lord of creation (Gen 1:26-27).
Man became a living spirit,
and God commanded blessings and life. This is a covenant (Ps 105:8).
The first covenant is blessings. It is obtained on the earth (Ps 105:9-10).
The new covenant is life. It is obtained in heaven (Jn 3:16).
Blessings are given through the Law,
but life is given through the truth (Jn 1:17).
To be blessed, you must enter the first covenant,
and to gain life, you must enter the new covenant.
Those who are blessed are children of Abraham.
Those who receive life
are the people of Jesus Christ.
◌ So
choose blessings.
To choose blessings, keep the commands of the first covenant.
◌ Choose life.
To choose life,
believe in Jesus Christ and keep the commands of the new covenant.
◌ Without God’s commands,
you cannot receive God’s blessings and life.
If you choose His commands, you receive blessings and life.
※ If you reject God’s commands,
you cannot receive blessings and life.
Choose blessings and life.
