Store Treasure in Clay Vessels

(2 Corinthians 4:7-15)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is spirit.
As He
is the person of spirit – He is the eternal One, known as heaven (Heb 1:3).
Man
was made by God from the dust and is like a clay vessel (Gen 5:2).
No matter how hard you labor by the sweat of your brow,
dust will eventually return to the dust (Gen 3:19).
The flesh finally returns to the dust.
However,
God put a spirit (that is, life) in man’s heart (Gen 2:7)
and kept it by His blood. This is eternal life (Acts 20:28).
As He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us forever, (Jn 14:16-17)
we store treasures of grace and faith in clay vessels.
No matter what the trials are, those who have many treasures are not afraid.
Abraham was a pilgrim (Hebrew),
but he kept the blessing God gave him (Gen 12:2-3),
and this went to Isaac,
and through to Jacob, and Israel was greatly blessed.
This means mankind’s Savior came from Him (Gen 22:17-18).
God made our spirits as His temple and He comes to us with the truth.
We should not forget that we received the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 3:16-17)
and should consider God’s blood as a blessing.
〇 We carry on our bodies the One who died for our sins
and show His life inside us.
〇 We should fill our bodies with the Lord’s grace and truth,
testify and reveal Him by the Holy Spirit,
and never forget this great authority within us.
〇 We always die for the Lord’s sake
so that Jesus’ life can be revealed in our mortal bodies.
※ We have faith in our hearts,
and this is storing treasure in clay vessels.
We must keep this treasure until the Lord Jesus comes again.
