The Truth Must be Revealed

(Mark 4:21-25)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is spirit, which no one can see.
Since He
showed Himself to His creatures,
He is the Word, grace and truth (Jn 1:14).
Therefore, eternal life is to know
the only true God and the One He had sent (Jn 17:3).
Religion is a philosophy to understand,
but we have received faith and experience (1 Cor 4:20).
Salvation is fact, reality, and eternal (Jn 16:7-11).
If we heard the Gospel,
we should radiate this light (Mt 28:19-20).
No one hides the light of a lamp, they put it on a stand.
They set it high and put it before a mirror so that the light is more visible (Mk 4:21).
However,
if you know nothing about the truth (the mystery of heaven),
you will not show it, you will put it under a bowl, and conceal it (Mk 4:25).
If you know and believe the truth,
you will reveal it with your lips, like putting it on a stand (Acts 7:54-60).
But
even though you hear it – if you just understand and do not believe,
you will not reveal the truth that is filled in your spirit.
In the same way,
those who know the truth by the Holy Spirit have disciples before them.
○ A person of the truth will go into all the world and make disciples.
But if you merely understand and have no disciples, you are a lamp that has gone out.
○ As God revealed His word through the Son of Man,
the truth is not meant to be hidden but revealed.
○ As Jesus showed Himself by the Holy Spirit,
the truth is the light that is preached to the ends of the earth.
※ If you understand it all on your own and do not reveal it,
it is because the truth is not in you.
Let’s reveal the truth by the Holy Spirit and His gifts, and make disciples.
