The Torn Curtain of the Temple

(Mark 15:33-41)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is holy.
He
made the whole creation and placed it in the firmament (Gen 1:7).
Unlike heaven (the spiritual world), this firmament is only emptiness (Gen 1:2).
There is a boundary called ‘the upper waters’
between God’s heaven and the domain of creation.
Therefore, no one can go beyond this boundary and enter heaven.
Once mankind became corrupt, the place you could not enter
without blood was called the Most Holy Place (Heb 9:1-3).
There was a curtain between the Most Holy Place and the Holy Place,
so only the high priest entered once a year.
In that moment, the curtain opens
and God’s Most Holy Place and man’s Holy Place becomes united (Eph 4:6-10).
Accordingly,
God entered the world (Jn 15:26)
and mankind was saved and entered heaven (the spiritual world) (Jn 14:1-3).
This refers to the words, “You in me and I in you” (Jn 14:20).
He shed blood on the cross for this – in other words,
to break through the dividing wall – and the curtain is His body.
In this way, Jesus entered heaven (Heb 10:19-22)
and the Holy Spirit came down from heaven (Jn 16:7-14).
○ The curtain separating these two places refers to our sins.
However, the curtain was torn when He atoned for sins.
○ Jesus purchased believers with blood and entered heaven in their place,
and the Holy Spirit entered us in place of heaven.
The fulfilment on the hill of Golgotha is truth.
○ If the Holy Spirit entered our hearts,
it means that our Savior dwells in heaven.
This is how God and us became one.
※ We are not people who follow religion or philosophy.
We are believers who trust
Jesus’ blood, the Gospel and the Holy Spirit.
