God
is holy.
He
has eternal life.
When He sent His Son to the world,
He gave the words of eternal life (Jn 6:68).
Those who believe the words of eternal life
see the glory of God’s only begotten Son (Jn 1:14)
and know He is full of grace and truth.
Jesus knew that His time was near (Mt 16:21),
so His words became explicit and deep.
His disciples could not bear them (Mt 16:22-23).
Regarding the truth,
people who are led by God believe that they are the words of eternal life,
but people who are not led by Him think they are ridiculous (Jn 6:60).
This is how we recognize
those who belong to God and those who belong to the world (1 Jn 4:5-6).
We remain longer in the world after we believe
so we can be further taught about God’s word.
These words are the truth – that is, they are spirit and life (Jn 6:63).
Believers say, “Here are the words of eternal life” (Jn 6:68)
but unbelievers say, “I do not understand them at all” (Jn 6:70).
○ No one can come to the Son
unless God enables them.
○ God reveals Himself and enables us to believe
through the word of truth, His blood and the Holy Spirit.
Unless we are born by the Holy Spirit, we can never see heaven.
○ Since our faith is faith in the word,
God’s word must be at work in our spirits.
Emotional zeal apart from the word is superstition and mysticism.
※ Let’s not follow human ideas,
but follow God’s word.
Only God’s words are the words of eternal life.
