Believers Will Receive the Holy Spirit

(John 7:37-44)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is gracious.
He
sealed those who are saved by the Son
and poured the Holy Spirit in their hearts as a guarantee (2 Cor 1:21-22).
No one has seen God with their eyes
– but because of His Son (who speaks God’s words) –
we understand that God does not lie (Jn 1:18).
God sent His Son to the world and saved
all who believe in Him. He loses none of them (Jn 6:39)
but seals each person by the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13-14).
The world cannot see that they received the Holy Spirit,
but those who have received God’s grace will know (Jn 14:16-17).
We know that we live in the Lord
by knowing that the Holy Spirit lives in us (1 Jn 4:13).
If the Lord lives in us by the Holy Spirit, His plan will be shown
through His commands – which is brotherly love (1 Jn 3:23-24).
Consequently,
rivers of living water will flow out of believers’ hearts.
This refers to the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom believers are going to receive (Jn 7:38-39).
○ When the Holy Spirit enters us, demons will be driven out
and miraculous powers and signs will be abundant.
We cannot deny what we understand by experience.
○ Believers are not religious people,
but they become people of the Holy Spirit and spiritual people.
People who believe in Jesus are spiritual.
○ If the Holy Spirit lives in us, we have many things to witness to.
The testimony of believers will place them on the rock.
If we do not welcome the Holy Spirit, we are religious and without testimony.
※ The words, ‘out of believers’ hearts will flow rivers of living water’,
is Jesus’ promise. This is the testimony shown after
He died on the cross, rose in three days, and ascended to heaven.
