Faith that Endures to the End

(Mark 13:1-13)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
is gracious.
As He
gave away His Son by grace,
it is called ‘faith’ (Jn 1:14).
Faith is being saved by grace. Those who are saved
are sealed and receive a guarantee by the Holy Spirit (2 Cor 1:21-22).
A person belonging to Jesus Christ has testimony and power (Mk 16:17-20).
It is not an accessory,
but He wants to protect people’s spirits until salvation is fulfilled (Jn 17:11-12).
We buried the desires of the flesh by baptism
and were born again as people of the Holy Spirit (Rom 6:4-5).
However, the spirit is stored in the flesh (like clay jars) (2 Cor 4:7).
The flesh is not spirit, but dust. We do not know how long it will last (Gen 3:19),
but it is a great threat to the spirit (Gen 3:14-15).
As the spirit belongs to heaven and the flesh belongs to hades,
the spirit and flesh severely conflict (Rom 7:21-25).
Hardship, trials, and suffering await one by one (Acts 20:22-24),
but this is not the end of the world.
Therefore, those who endure to the end will be saved (Mk 13:13).
If we do not live by the law of the Holy Spirit, we can sin deliberately (Heb 10:26-30).
○ Because the flesh belongs to the world, the world gives suffering,
and one’s own flesh and blood (parents and siblings) can conflict with each other.
The world tries to kill, for it has no love.
○ The world mocks and persecutes, so it is hard to persevere,
and the Lord Jesus’ coming does not appear, so it is frustrating,
our spiritual power fades, and we get swept away by tests.
○ Yet those who keep their faith to the end will be saved.
While the days when we live on earth disappear
and the day of salvation approaches, we should make the most of time.
※ Do not be afraid when the world dies away.
Let’s come near to God and He will come near to us.
Resist the devil to the end and he will flee.
