Jesus Heals Diseases

(Mark 1:29-34)

Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim

God
has the will to save
and He
sent Jesus to the world.
The name ‘Jesus’ means He will save His people from their sins (Mt 1:21).
Salvation from sins means salvation from the universe, that is, hades (Mt 16:18).
The authority of hades is death (Acts 2:27)
and the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23).
The power of the Law is sin, and the wages of sin death (1 Cor 15:56).
Since Jesus’ name is the answer to what He will do (Jn 14:13-14),
it is perfect salvation
from death, from the devil, from disease, and from curses (Mk 16:17-20).
This salvation is freedom (Jn 8:36).
Many sick people gathered wherever Jesus stayed,
and when He healed the diseases, demons yelled and fled (Mk 1:23-26).
Though such works are very natural,
people today laugh when the church heals diseases (Mt 12:22-28)
and they persecute and condemn the driving out of demons.
However, even demons confess that they are driven out
through God’s Son (Lk 8:27-33).
The works of the Holy Spirit are miraculous powers and signs (Acts 1:8).
○ As the truth has authority,
everyone should be free by the truth.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.
○ Jesus’ name is salvation.
It is the glory of heaven and salvation
which renews spirit, flesh and even environment.
○ Miraculous power must surely follow the Gospel.
Salvation is not abstract.
There must be no doubt that it is realistic.
※ If you lay hands on the sick by faith, they will be healed,
and if you rebuke demons by the word, they will leave.
Nothing is impossible for the prayer of faith.
