The God Who Works Power
Exceedingly Abundantly for Us

God Who Is Able
to Do Exceedingly

(Ephesians 3:20)

“Isn’t there a limit to God’s power?” “God helps with significant matters, but He seems indifferent to minor ones.” “Does God genuinely want to help us?”

1. Incorrect Premise
People fall into such doubts because they are under the incorrect premise that God will grant whatever they ask for. God is not a machine to assist us. If we feel that we are not receiving help from God, the blame should not be placed on God. Instead, we should reflect on whether we truly have a worthy state of a truthful believer. This does not mean we should achieve significant accomplishments or work harder. What truly matters is an unrepentant heart.

2. The One Who Does Exceedingly
God is willing to help us more fundamentally and much more than what we ask for. Paul referred to God as ‘the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think’ (Eph 3:20). God not only does exceedingly all that we ask or think but also goes beyond what we have not even thought to ask for.

3. Not to Limit the Power
The power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and ascended Him into heaven is at work in us. Therefore, we should ensure that this power is not limited by us. For this, what matters most is a repentant heart. In a state where our hearts are not fully devoted to God, His power may still be limited, even if we loudly call upon His name. Thus, we must repent, and our personalities must be changed. To achieve this, let us first strengthen our inward men and fully commit ourselves to God. Let us not doubt God’s power, but praise His power.
