The Man Who Should Not Have Been Born
(Mark 14:10-21)
Overseer Sung-Hyun Kim
God
is our Father.
Since He
created man on earth, He created them (Gen 1:26-27)
in His likeness and blessed them so that they could increase
and be prosperous on earth (Gen 1:28).
This was
for the Son of Man, who would destroy the devil’s work (1 Jn 3:8).
This was also for those who love the Son of Man – that He could take (Jn 6:37-39)
them into heaven, and they could dwell with the Son of Man
and share the glory of God’s Heir (Rom 8:16-17)
Consequently,
He first came as the Word, but was betrayed (Geb 2:16-17),
He gave God’s promises, but these were rejected (Acts 7:53),
and the Word became flesh, but they crucified Him (Lk 23:21).
The cross is the head of all the world’s curses (Gal 3:13).
At that time, the one who committed the worst sin
between heaven and earth had come. He was cursed,
and it would have been better if he had not been born (Mk 14:21).
This man was with Jesus and flattered Him every day.
He was Judas Iscariot, who sold God (Mk 14:10-11).
○ The one who sold God is the worst of all evils.
‘The worst evil’ refers to sin that can never be forgiven.
Though you can repent for every sin, this sin is impossible.
○ All our sins were committed against God,
yet we repented with faith and were forgiven.
However, there is no repentance or sacrifice for the sin of selling God.
○ The greatest grace we received is the chance to repent.
Even if you are baptized, the truth cannot enter
and the Holy Spirit cannot stay without repentance.
※ If you already receive instructions from the devil, it becomes your conviction,
and those who have no enemies are indifferent and become religious.
Do not keep company with unbelievers and compromise with unlawfulness.
