Sungrak Church celebrated 50th anniversary this year with a festival where the church and local residents gathered. This year’s festival was titled after ‘With Guro With Sungrak Festival’ which made the church and Guro-gu residents be one together. The festival created many different memorable moments with a variety of food markets, flea markets, and a small amusement park for little kids. Especially, there were various performances such as singing, vocal music, and dancing that local residents also participated in. This significant event was an important opportunity for local residents to naturally enter the church.

The event was centered on a layperson like elders and ordained deacons of the Sungrak Church. It was not just a time for the unity of the local residents and the church, however, also for the unity among the saints preparing for the event. Through their love, kindness, consideration, and respect, the event created friendly environment where everyone can come and enjoy.

As overseer Sung-Hyun Kim announced in his opening remarks, it was a successful event that reached out the purpose of ‘expressing interest in church unity and community, also communicating with mutual positive mind.’
