2017.11.26_We Belong to the Lord

To the old members I miss on the 48^th anniversary of our church,

Whether I close my eyes or open them, the old faces of the members I miss flash before me. My heart collapses, for I cannot again see the faces of those who so loved the church and so greatly loved the overseer. You all came to Sungrak Church because you solely loved your souls and wanted to receive the love of God. I know very well how much you loved God. However, love must be patient and endure. Love is not an emotion, but it is the gift of God. Today love has disappeared from before us and instead, only a cold wind is blowing.

But did it have to be that way? Did this really have to happen? The righteousness of man has no power in the presence of God. What is your present condition? Are you the ones who pray? You used to love your souls so much, but do you still love your souls the same? It is terribly unfortunate and brings me tears. It is not just about your own souls. What has become of the souls in your families? Are they not wandering about without being rooted? What will you do about the souls of young children?

For us, nothing has changed; we are the same as we were before. The inspiration of the faith we had in the past is still the same today. What has changed? Is not the present state of your wandering that which has changed? What is so shameful that you hide yourselves? This is the result of being deceived. You went about screaming because you wanted to know the truth, but because of a lack of patience and love, you are experiencing great suffering amongst yourselves.

Dear old saints, whom I loved! My friends who are fading away from memory like the fog, we open our arms and wait for you! You are in need of a spiritual leader. Who is the one that can take responsibility for your souls? Are they true spiritual leaders? Semuon is someone who, no matter how harsh the suffering, will not yield or fall into despair. Rather, I am full of the joy that the Lord Jesus has given me.

Sungrak Church and the overseer are waiting for you. Like a father waiting for his lost son who left home, we are waiting for you. You have done what you all wanted to do. So, now please come back home. However, those who have been expelled or excommunicated will never be welcomed. I wait only for those who were my sheep.

The sound of my prayers for you who have left the church is indeed loud. By all means, may your souls be well. Wherever you go, you must love your own soul. It will not be easy, since you at one single moment have wandered so far, far away. But you must be brave. The thick green mountains in the hot summer have suddenly turned to dead leaves as the cold autumn weather has come. But there is no change with Song-jook-ahm whether it is summer, autumn or winter. Song-jook-ahm does not change. Thank you.
